Foxconn and iPhone 4G are chased by few misfortunes

Buying this or that product in the store very few ask themselves the manufacturing process the product went through. Consumers trust well established brands and assume that if the product is engineered with highest quality standards then the workers are compensated in the same way. If the same company engineering the product was to manufacture it then very few consumers would be able to afford the actual product due to high cost. Instead quality brands outsource cheaper manufacturers to produce their invention/innovation.

One of the largest companies manufacturing electronic devices is Hon Hai Precision Industry, also known as Foxconn from Taiwan. Foxconn manufactured items, such as: Mac mini, iPod, iPhone, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360, and Kindle. Also, the company is doing work with various other well-known brands, like Motorola, Cisco, Intel, Dell and Hewlett-Packard. At the same time Foxconn produces their own motherboards and video cards under their brand.

As expected, Foxconn is located in China a communist country. The company is glad to receive contracts from oversees investors to apply cheap labour and produce high quality products. Foxconn is far from heaven as a place of work. Recently, the company has been accused of child labour. On April 18, 18-year old employee of Foxconn working only for a month threw himself off the roof of the manufacturing plant. In March, 23-year old Lui also comitted suicide.

Taipei Times released another recent piece of news stating that same incident happened again on the manufacturing plant of Foxconn company. According to the investigation, the female worker Ju comitted suicide after completing her daily working hours. Foxconn is trying to push the thought that the problem behind the suicide was personal emotional problems but the company won't be able to get away without suspicion. This is sixth suicide in the year 2010 from Foxconn company.
In 2006, 180 employees of Foxconn were poisoned on the same day.
Another interesting fact, last year a 25-year old Sun Danyoung lost a prototype of iPhone, in result he threw himself off the 12 floor of Foxconn building. No one knows for sure what was going through his head or what kind of consequences could lead for "losing" a product. The family has been compensated in large sum of money, around $44 thousand dollars and Sun's girlfriend received an Apple laptop.
