Computex 2010: new Acer laptop with Chrome OS

Acer, third largest global computer production company has announced that in the second half of 2010 the company will release new laptop computers under Chrome OS from Google. But, recent rumors indicate that Acer is planning to make the release sooner than expected. By "soon" we mean close to next month a lot earlier than expected. Also, Google announced that first netbooks with Chrome OS will be available close to the end of 2010.

It's highly possible that the new Chrome OS will be presented in the near Computex 2010 which will be held on June 1, 2010 until June 5, 2010 in Taiwan. Chrome operating system has been officially presented by Google back in January. The operating system has been developed to ease the use of various netbook applications and utilities among online users, things like: networking, office and multimedia applications. Google indicates the load time will not go over 5 seconds.

President Jim Wong of the Acer company made a statement indicating that the company is working hard to be the first among competition to release netbooks with Chrome OS and distribute around one million products in the year 2010.

It's safe to say that Acer will be the first company to release netbooks with Chrome OS but competition like ASUS, Samsung and Lenovo won't be far behind. Also, rumors indicate that operating system may take the name Chronium instead of Chrome OS.
